Kurt Hentschlager - immersive audio-visual performance

Kurt Hentschlaeger, showed his immersive audio-visual performance FEED, at usine-c, Montreal, on October 26, 2007.

The performance took place in a room sitting with other 70 people. Physical experience was influenced by intense stroboscopic flickering light in combination with thick artificial fog and synchronized sound-scape and sub-low bass with sine waves between 25-50Hz.

During the performance I was covering my eyes, plugging my ears, but still the experience was intense. Initially, I was curious to see the event, but I didn't like the experience at all, I was about to leave at any moment. It’s amazing how exterior perceptions like sounds, visuals and the air around us can disturb our physical and psychical behavior.
