The project “objet d’ailleurs” is an ongoing collection of stories from immigrants to Montréal or other cities in the world, about objects that remind them of their home country. Immigrants participate with one possession from their home country. This should be an object that evokes for them personal, sentimental values, or feelings towards a place or certain memories. I photograph the object and conduct a short interview with the participant about this object. Object and story will then be added to the Web site.
