Lettering depanneur signs
- project: Handletterings for Quebec convenience stores
- collaboration: Fran Sendbuehler, no bar code press (bookbinding)
- 2008
- A Montreal depanneur without a sign inspired me to do this lettering project, for which I created depanneur signs in various styles. Depanneurs are convenience stores, usually part of a chain, or independently-run corner shops, general stores or delis, found in the province of Quebec, in Canada.
- I created a book [in PDF] around this project. In addition to lettering, the book contains exterior pictures of depanneur stores, featuring their signs. The letterings are inspired by handwriting, revivals, and new created shapes.
